About AWMA KY

Welcome to the Kentucky Chapter of the AWMA

Assisting in the professional development and critical environmental decision-making of our members to benefit society while improving environmental knowledge and decisions within a neutral forum for the exchange of ideas and information.

The Kentucky Chapter welcomes sponsorship funding from corporate benefactors to help offset some costs of programs and events. Additionally, a portion of sponsorship monies received is used to fund certain outreach activities and extraordinary Chapter expenses (like the 2014 upgrade of the Chapter website). Examples of recent outreach from AWMA-KY to our broader community have included sponsor-funded donations to the AWMA Scouting Committee (for educational activities at the National Boy Scout Jamboree), to the Olmsted Conservancy (for maintenance and improvements to the Olmsted parks in Louisville Metro), and to the Louisville Regional Science & Engineering Fair (LRSEF, for funding of student scientists’ awards).
